Amma's Programs in Chicago, Illinois, USA

Amma held two days of public programs in suburban Chicago.  Amma had arrived the previous afternoon, on the 4th of July, and the evening sky was lit up with firework displays celebrating Independence Day.

During the programs, the Indian Embassy Consulate General, Mr. Ashok Kumar Atri, in a welcoming speech, stated that, "Amma has inspired millions of people over the globe by Her selfless service to humanity."

Businessman and Philanthropist, Mr. Sunil Puri, and Dr. Bala Balachandran, advisor and trustee for the Amrita School of Management in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, both garlanded Amma.
